Forsythia is a deciduous shrub that can also form a hedge. It blooms in April before the bush leaves, forming a lush yellow canopy that attracts bees. It has lanceolate, toothed, light green leaves that are slightly yellow in the middle. The mature shrub reaches a height of 3-4 meters. It thrives in sunny, partially shaded locations and moist soil. Pruning is recommended immediately after spring flowering.
