The Norway spruce has a cone-shaped crown and red-brown bark. The branches are straight and the twigs hang downwards. These are studded with up to 2,5 cm long dark green square needles. The tree develops green cones that later turn brown and twist downwards. It is a medium to fast growing coniferous tree and can reach 30-40 meters in height. It thrives in sunny, semi-shady and shady locations as well as on wet and dry soil. It needs medium-nutrient rich soil to grow. It tolerates air and wind pollution well, making it suitable for planting along industrial areas and busy roads. This spruce variety is suitable for hedges with a uniform appearance, as it tolerates pruning well and keeps a defined shape.

2-3 seedlings per linear meter. After planting the spruces, level the tops. When the spruce hedge reaches its final height, it is then trimmed once a year. We trim it so that it is wider at the bottom than at the top. It means that the hedge must have the shape of a trapezoid from the side. In this way, all the needles will be in the sun, so that the hedge does not fall out from below.
