Hibiscus ‘White Chiffon’ resembles its original variety but with pure white, fuller flowers that are edible. It blooms from July to September. During this time, the shrub attracts butterflies and bees. It is a sterile strain that does not develop seeds after flowering. The mature shrub is 1,8 to 2,5 meters high. It thrives in sunny locations and on moist, nutrient-rich soil. Slightly shaded areas result in less flowering. It tolerates summer heat and slightly dry soil. Pruning is recommended in early spring.

Flowering hedges are pruned only enough to encourage more abundant flowering and to rejuvenate the plant. Heavy pruning of flowering hedges is not recommended, as such plants are not designed to change shape.
