Recommended planting instructions:
The David Yew is an upright, narrow shrub with a compact growth. It has flat green needles with a golden yellow colour. It thrives in well-drained, fertile soil and in sunny areas. It is hardy and adaptable to growing conditions. It tolerates occasional drought, cold and wind, urban environments and prunning well. It grows slowly and reaches a height of 2-2,5 meters and a width of 0,8-1 meter as a mature plant. This variety is suitable for narrow hedges or small gardens. It can produce bright reddish fruits with hidden seeds that are food for birds. All parts of the yew except the red seed coat are poisonous to humans.
